He's openly against minimalism, long narratives before a recipe, & institutionalized white supremacy, and he firmly believes in the power of community in the fight for social change.
As a kid in the 80s & 90s,
Stephan struggled to find characters in popular media that spoke to his queer, biracial experience. Driven by his desire to relate, he took matters into his own hands and began creating stories that featured people like him, for people like him. As a result–
